In Class
  • We reviewed the setting and its importance in All Summer in a Day
  • We discussed specific words and phrases that are used to evoke setting emotion and sensory awareness.
  • We collaborated on how to find strong words in our descriptions of what the setting in ASiaD is.
  • We also listened to and read "Lighthouse's Tale" and discussed the imagery that is used to create a sense of setting.

Considerations
  • Setting is important to different kinds of literature. We will continue to discuss how it affects stories and what you should be utilizing in your own writing to make sure you are able to capitalize on the learning you have here.

Homework
  • Bring your signed syllabus to next class
  • Complete The Third Level
  • Moved - "The Room" Revisions (I will give this to you for part of Thursday's homework)
